Craft Beer School

We’re proud to partner with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust on the return of Craft Beer School, hosted at the Greer Cabaret Theater in downtown Pittsburgh. Whether you’re a curious beginner or already a passionate enthusiast, each standalone class offers something for everyone. Visit trustarts.org/beer for upcoming classes.

Beer Enthusiast 101 & 102

Previous offerings included two levels of a six-week, in-person series combining guided tastings, interactive classroom sessions, and visits to local breweries and beer-focused businesses. While the Beer Enthusiast courses are not currently being offered, we plan to bring them back in the future. Beer Enthusiast 101

An introductory course covering beer history, ingredients, brewing basics, major beer styles, proper pouring and tasting techniques, and beer-and-food pairings. Designed for anyone looking to build a strong foundation and drink more thoughtfully.

Beer Enthusiast 102

An advanced course for aspiring beer geeks and industry-curious drinkers. Topics include deeper dives into brewing processes, draft systems, off-flavors, small-batch brewing concepts, and more in-depth beer and food pairings.

Prerequisite: Beer Enthusiast 101 or equivalent knowledge.
