Stewards Of Beer provides brand support for craft beer and other alcoholic and non-alc beverages distributed in the Pittsburgh region. We enable brands to multiply their sampling efforts in beer distributors and grocery stores, getting more “liquid to lips” in order to increase brand awareness, educate customers, and sell more product.
Who We’re Looking For
- We are looking for friendly, social, enthusiastic, and charismatic men and women who can cordially engage with strangers and are passionate about inviting people into conversations about craft beer and other alcoholic and non-alc beverages.
- Although a great deal of beer knowledge is preferred, a willingness to further your personal beer education, through resources and learning opportunities we provide, as well as through your own research, experience and travel, is also a favorable trait.
Hours
- Samplings are usually evenings and weekends, often starting around 4:00/4:30pm on Fridays and 11am/12pm on Saturdays.
- Samplings are mostly within the Greater Pittsburgh area
- Ideally, minimum commitment from each Beer Steward = 2-3 samplings per month
Pay Rate
- Start at $10/hr for training, then $20-30/hr based on experience
- Paid as 1099 independent contractor
